FIREFIGHTERS NEEDED!

Help Protect Your Community!

The Candia Fire-Rescue Department needs your help!  As people get busier and busier, it becomes more difficult to consistently provide quality emergency services at all times.  Although Candia Fire-Rescue is able to adequately serve our community, we always welcome new members, especially those who may be able to serve our community during the daytime on weekdays.  We encourage persons with fire and/or EMS training and experience to join our team, but no formal training or experience is required!  We provide all the necessary protective equipment and training to effectively protect the citizens of Candia, NH, and the surrounding towns.  Training programs offered to members of the department, with total reimbursement or pre-payment, include:

  • First Responder

  • Emergency Medical Technician - Basic

  • Emergency Medical Technician - Intermediate

  • Firefighter 1

  • Firefighter 2

  • Driver Operations/Commercial Drivers License

  • Hazardous Materials Awareness/Operations

  • And others!

Training offered with partial tuition reimbursement includes:

  • Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic

To become a member of the department, you must meet the following guidelines (Note: this is not a complete list and all applicants to the department will be thoroughly screened):

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Be in good physical condition.

  • Have no criminal record, or be prepared to document any charges placed against you.

  • Be willing to work as part of a team to serve the citizens of Candia, NH.

Candia Fire-Rescue does not require firefighting and emergency medical services personnel to reside in Candia. If you have certifications in the fire or EMS fields and would like to join a progressive department, you are encouraged to apply.

Additional restrictions and limitations do exist.  For more information about becoming a member of the Candia Fire-Rescue Department, or if you have any questions, stop by our station at 11 Deerfield Road in Candia, NH on any Sunday morning or follow the Contact Information link.

Thank you for your interest!
