Placed in service on April 10, 2007, 50 Tanker 1 is a 2007 Vermont Fire Technologies tanker/pumper built on a 2005 International 7600 Series Chassis.  This vehicle carries 3500 gallons of water and has a 1000 gpm PTO pump.  3 dump valves are provided for quick off-loading of water, with one air-operated dump on each side of the tanker and one air-operated with manual override dump on the rear.  Equipment carried includes a portable folding tank, which is stored through the truck's tank, two preconnected handlines plus a preconnected 4-inch discharge on the front bumper, and various other equipment.  The tanker has an LED lighting package and is equipped with a Federal Q-style siren.  Funding for this piece was provided mostly through a grant from FEMA, greatly reducing the cost of this needed apparatus for the taxpayers of the Town of Candia.  Please check back soon as additional graphics are applied and equipment is added.
